I took a car I had recently purchased to DK Tires and Alignment to get a state vehicle inspection. I had no previous dealings with this firm but wanted to support a hometown business since the economy as a whole is so terribly dismal. What I got for my trouble was a fine-toothed comb nitpick inspection of a vehicle that has been described by both Ford mechanics and private wrench turners as being incredibly clean, smooth-running and in superior shape for its age. The fine, God-fearing folks at DK[who have the quaint phrase "Trust in God" on their business cards] helped ensure that my inspection fees with the resulting repairs cost me a thousand dollars over and above the purchase price of the vehicle. Granted, the vehicle is 17 years old, but the list of people who claim DK is nothing more than a bunch of coniving fly-by-nighters is well over ten professional mechanics and body shop specialists. I have no problem with businesses making money; my grievance is when they work extra hard to make sure the customer will be out of pocket for a huge amount of money, all the while smiling and doing it all for the Christian way of life. I STRONGLY advise anyone who is considering purchasing tires, alignment or any other type of service for your vehicle to stay as far away from these crooks as is humanly possible. Trust in God? They should have included the rest of the phrase; Trust in God, and keep your hand on your wallet. By the way, I wanted to give DK Tires and Alignment a negative rating, but I had to give them a 1 star rating to publish my review. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!
